By the bye, Mitch...
You can claim to be a big Harry Potter nerd all you like, but anyone who watches the movie (heck, you don't even have to have read the book!) knows that the grindylows are actually the water demons in the second task that Fleur couldn't get past. The shrubs don't have a special name. They're... shrubs. |

Thanks for commenting.
I'm not saying I'm not wrong, but I don't think we're talking about the same thing. It's also incredibly possible we were talking about two different things on the podcast. (It's no secret I don't always listen to the other guys.) |

Hmmm... could've been, but when you said, "I'm so much of a nerd, I even know the name of those shrubs--the grindylows!", that's the impression I got.
Unless of course, you misunderstood and thought they were talking about the underwater "shrubs" in the Second Task, for which I could understand completely your misunderstanding of the conversation.
Of course, I would never question your loyalty as a fan, what right have I to do that? But I thought I would send a shout out, in case you were mistaken. |

I was talking about the "underwater shrubs."
Honestly, I think I was just confused on the podcast. |

When I brought up the shrubs, I was referring to the big tall ones in the maze at the end. My theory: Mitch, in his zealousness to geek out all Potter-like, made the assumption that I was talking about the water things.
It's easy to misconstrue one another since we're all teleconferencing on Skype. The ever-so-slight delay can trip us up, and more generally all the information getting thrown around can rush at you like a tsunami. |

Ah yes, I know what you mean, having had my first internet conference call this weekend (which we used the Gizmo Project for instead of Skype... familiar with it?). The supposition you pose is one that I also rather think is the case, as I am now thoroughly convinced that Mitch knows what grindylows are.
And I feel much more appeased now. We Potter Fans have to look out for each other! |

I've fiddled with Gizmo, actually. Unless they've changed it in the past 2-3 months, two-way calling is ince, but conferencing is a pain in the ass. |

Could very well be. I've never actually used Skype, so I can't compare for you, but we did have a few issues with our conference call. |
