To be honest, I just don't care for most romantic comedies. I find them all way too hackeneyed for my tastes.

I do like When Harry Met Sally..., Casablanca, Shaun of the Dead, and probably a few others that I can't think of at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, Thom, Amelie, and Lost are both good movies, they just weren't my cup of tea.

Hey, like I wrote:
Of course I don't expect everyone to be affected by the same movies equally...

And I totally understand someone finding the majority of romantic comedies to be trite, bland little exercises. But I've never heard anyone suggest either of those films to be typical of the genre by any means. More likely, the exceptions to the rule.

Word.

But Bach is apparently not alone with Lost in Translation. Like I was saying to Thom earlier, my friend just read my article and I forgot he HATES that movie. Feh.

Yeah, I was going to mention my pleasure at finding myself not alone in disliking LiT, but seeing Casablanca sandwiched between When Harry Met Sally and Shaun of the Dead left me momentarily speechless. Confused

Don't feel bad, as I said, those are the only three I can think of (even still, though I haven't devoted much thought to that list since I posted it).

I know that Casablanca is a class all it's own, but when speaking of romantic films, you can't go wrong with it.

I say Bush doesn't care about ANYONE so saying he doesn't care about blacks specifically is misleading.

(end bad joke.)

If any of you bought the Rolling Stone Yearbook you would have seen how Michael Moore glorified West's speech. Now, I don't like Bush, and I like Kanye's music, but it just watched it again, and I just have to laugh.
