We can keep this like the, "Last movie I saw..." thread. Here's what you do, you post two lesser known songs you really like that you think others should download and give a listen. It doesn't have to be obscure and indie, but try and not make it like whatever's in the Top 40, or at least, on MTV (As Sarah would say, I hate you!). You can always add new ones when they come to you. I'll go first.
Everyone should download these two awesome songs...
Maria Taylor - Xanax
Rilo Kiley - Portions for Foxes _________________ "Trying is the first step toward failure." -Homer Simpson |

so that's like my tagline now... "I hate you!" :p
Toad the Wet Sprocket - Crowing
The Gufs - Smile
I can share these... if anyone is interested. I promote buying all Gufs and Toad cds. they're that awesome. _________________ Playing the world's smallest violin while nothing burns. |

Well, first off I'll recommend pretty much anything by Massive Attack, especially their Mezzanine album. It is crafted by the gods.
Also...
RJD2 - Smoke & Mirrors
Blockhead - Insomniac Olympics
I'm big on instrumental trip-hop, obviously. _________________ Despite what my avatar says, I HATED Leon: The Professional. |

Shuffling my playlist and going to the first lesser known faves of mine brings me to:
Muse - New Born (anything by Muse... they're awesome)
Lifehouse - Sick Cycle Carousel |

I'll assume you all are legitimately downloading from iTunes or another legitimate service, right?
My playlist is randomly on "Tadarida", from the Batman Begins soundtrack. First song that catches my ear skipping forward is... Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!) by Garbage. And yes, legitimately purchased. I'm a good boy. |

I think "beautiful garbage" is their best album. The "I Can Drive You Home" song is one of the best slow low-key songs I have ever heard. _________________ "Trying is the first step toward failure." -Homer Simpson |

Queer
Cup of Coffee
Hammering In My Head
But I like a great deal of their stuff. |

Anything by dredg.
I'm currently listening to the soundtrack for "Friday Night Lights". Done by Explosions in the Sky, which is a great instrumental band. Very mellow, very peaceful. Just good stuff. |

Black Rose Immortal -Opeth
Anything else by Opeth. Best band ever, IMO. However, if they're too "Top 40" for you-
