What are you seeing this weekend October 6th

Three new releases this weekend in what is looking like a demographic blood bath. The Departed has the screen count and is building the cool factor necessary to cross demos. The film needs to get younger to break the box office bank. Empolyee of the Month and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning are pulling in the younger demos with Employee having the advantage in screen count and a PG-13 rating. The 17 and unders are a good crowd for Dane Cook and could turn this picture into a box office sleeper. The latest Leatherface sequel seems to have picked the wrong date. With The Departed building up steam with a strong campaign and Employee Of the Month undercutting it demographically the picture is likely to struggle this weekend.

I actually saw The Departed today and was really suprised by it. Such a great assembled cast.
