Top Ten Horror Villains Of All Time

What's up guys,

Well it's that time of year again, season of the pumpkin, all hallow's eve, samhain, all better known as just halloween. Or as I call it, the start of my personal favorite time of year hallothanksmas. Or better known in the retail world as hallomas. But I digress, bieng that it's that time of year, always gets me in the mood even moreso than usual to watch a good horror flick, and what would a horror movie be without a villian? A very boring one, I have to say. So without further ado, here are my personal top ten horror villians....of all time.


10. Chucky (Child's Play) What would happen if your favorite toy when you were a kid tried to kill you? Well then you'd have Chucky. The very conception that this three foot tall thing could do any damage at all, let alone be hard to kill is almost a laughable concept, but somehow Chucky keeps coming back. The fact that I was able to scare my brother when we were younger by throwing a My Buddy doll up into the top bunk and scream "Chucky!" guarantees his top ten spot on this list.

9. Norman Bates (Psycho) This Ed Gein inspired killer made you lock your bathroom door when you showered, even if you weren't in a creepy looking motel.

8. Samara (The Ring) Now while the sequal certainly sucked big fat donkey balls, the first time I saw this movie it scared me, not a lot of horror movies can do that. Plus just how exactly do you stop an evil ghost girl?

7. Otis (House Of 1000 Corpses) Just a really twisted and demented individual, Otis personified evil in this movie.

6. Ghostface (Scream) Now granted Ghostface was more of the costume, as there were four killers wearing the suit, but that costume was around for a while before the movie, and ever since then it's been made a new icon of horror. Back in high school I wore the costume for halloween once, and I didn't even have to do anything, but just the costume alone scared the crap out of people.

5. Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) I'm talking about the original Bubba Sawyer Leatherface, not the lame ass Thomas Hewitt Leatherface of the re makes. He was an unstoppable monster in this flick, coming out of nowhere to hit you in the head with a mallet, or more usually coming at you with a chainsaw. You can't stop him, all you can do is just hope you can escape with your life.

4. Samantha (Sleepaway Camp) A relatively unknown villian makes an appearance here, on the surface it's just a generic camp slasher movie, but the identity and secret of this villain is something you really don't see coming at all.

3. Jason (Friday The 13th series) A nigh unstoppable killing machine with a hockey mask, Jason Voorhees was the number two villian back in his heydey the 80's, and still one of the coolest horror villains of all time.

2. Freddy Krueger (Nightmare On Elm Street) The Man when it comes to scary movies, Freddy Kreuger doesn't just slice you with his claw glove, he gets in your head, literally, and that puts him on this list.

1. Michael Myers (Halloween) The orginal silent, but deadly killer of the slasher genre, sure the last few movies sucked, but the first two, classic. And with a Rob Zombie directed remake he's prime to make a comeback next year.

And as a bonus, we get the all time, all time classic horror villian...........






Dracula (what do you think he's from?) The original, the master of vampires. He's smooth, well mannered and undeniably and nearly unstoppable evil. Dracula trumps all of these guys because he's been around a long time, and I don't think he's gonna go away any time soon.

I don't really have a top 10, seeing as I don't watch that many horror films. But Norman Bates is probably number one for me. When I first watched Psycho one Halloween Night when I was about 8 or 9, it was so hard to take a shower. Always looking out of the curtain, seeing if someones there. Really good scare factors after the film was over.
