Sorry, ladies & gents, no podcast this week. Post-op, I just haven't been comfortable sitting at my desk for more than a few minutes at a time. For a time it was planned for the others to take the reins and record without me, but I guess that didn't work out.
We'll be back next week for sure, and we'll try our best not to miss any future dates. Till next time, may the corn be with you, and all that.
Edit: Guess Ray & Sarah had a power outage mid-record. They're gonna try again, so perhaps we'll be seeing a new episode after all.
Edit 2: No go.

if anyone wants to finish this paper for me, i'm sure things would be done faster. How about taking a german language test and PASSING? I'll accept that as well.
its been raining for 4 days straight here, so even our cable connection is really slow.

Man, and I was looking forward to hearing whether or not "Waiting..." was the suck. After seeing that it was only 18% fresh, David decided we should wait until it gets to the dollar theater. From what I've heard, that should be in a few weeks.
Two for the Money was nothing to write home about either, though folks in Texas love Matthew McConaughey. The people at my screening were actually cheering. I'm not sure if it's because they were seeing it for free, or if they actually enjoyed it. _________________ Qui ne risque rien, n'a rien. |

Waiting... wasn't as godawful as critics are making it out to be (Kernan has a review in the submissions folder and I think we are in agreement after glancing over it). It's...you know...in the same vein as Meatballs or Porkys or some shit like that. It's a bunch of young adults fixated on sexual humor or the humor that comes from their environment (in this case, the occupational hazards and foibles of restaurant waiters and kitchen staff).
It wasn't awesome, and was by no means as good as 40 Year Old Virgin, but it had its moments.
It was certainly better than A History of Violence...which I'm about to address now in another thread. |
