I watched this on my flight home from San Francisco. I was pleasantly surprised by it, because it was original material but still paid fair homage to the television show.
Nicole Kidman was well cast, but I kept thinking about how much she seemed like a Meg Ryan character in the movie. Farell was his usual self which can be both good and bad, but it was not the distraction I feared it would be.
The DVD offered more insight in the making-of featurette than I expected, and it almost made the movie better for me. I will watch it again, and I may very well appreciate it more the second time around.

Everyone realizes that if we continue posting to this thread, it will never end, right? Because we'll always see another movie and it'll always make this thread at the top of the board. Not that I'm complaining or anything. This thread will live on forever. Evan, you sneaky bastard, I could kiss you. _________________ "Trying is the first step toward failure." -Homer Simpson |

It's like the "What are you listening to" thread at my other hangout. It's hundreds of pages. |

I watched 11:14 last night.
Pretty bad movie, but it had some interesting plot elements. Could have maybe been under other circumstances.
Last movie I watched was Ice Harvest though...just got back from it. Opinion reserved for podcast though I spose. |

Winter Solstice 9/10
I love Anthony LaPaglia. What I loved about this movie is, sipimply put about men. A widower and his two sons. Very well written. I quiet movie about men.
The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 8/10
A thinking teens movie. Very well written and acted. A must keep for any teen girl.
Fever Pitch 8/10
By the book Rom-Com. But still enjoyable. I feel Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon were great together. I hope they do more movies together. They have that something that works well with each other.
