Ray took me to the shooting range this evening. Actually, he mentioned it to me a few weeks ago, when he brought up that Tuesday is Ladies Day at the shooting range near Capital. So I'd been thinking about it and thinking about it and finally today I was like "we're going."

I've never actually fired a gun before. So it was my first time. No, no power tripping. It felt like going bowling or something. You just try to perfect your shot to get a good shot off... working with your stance and your grip. But I had fun. We went through two boxes of bullets and four targets. I had a 9mm Steel Barrel Kahr and Ray shot with a 9mm Standard Black Glock.

Anyways, here's a few pics of my target. My first shot (lucky bitch eh?) and then a larger view of the first target and my second traget, but using Ray's gun. I got four of those red shots right in a row (even shooting the same hole twice haha!!). I did a little dance. Very Happy

So someone might have a new hobby... or at least a new place to go when the stress is just too much. It honestly was relaxing after you get over the loud noises. haha!

I know it wasn't a gun license or anything, but taking the range liscense "test" was kinda... interesting. I wasn't inclined to cheat, but some of the stuff just wasn't... apparent based on the book and the video and the posters. Then they caught us on the T/F because of some lame wordings. Ray insisted this one question was F, but I Was like "no, I think it's true." And it happened a couple more times. So in the future, never copy RAy for a T/F section. Those are my hardest sections and I woulda done so much better had I not asked Ray what I think the Qs meant, trying to decipher their tricky wordiness.

Either way... I still am just like "AWESOMENESS!!!!" so... but my right hand is a little sore. I swear I'm getting arthritis in my hands. It's cause ya'll make me work so hard. hahaha! j/k.

My dad said trap shooting is fun... has anyone done that?
