The reviews of Man of the Year are not great early on with many pointing to a timidity in terms of the films political point of view. The problems many critics have are well illustrated in this take from Scott Olin Schmidt at SpotOn.com.....

Man of the Year is getting big time mainstream attention and that is making it surprisingly competitive with Grudge 2 for the weekend box office crown, an unthinkable scnenario when the film first landed on this date and when star Robin Williams was headed to rehab and living down R.V. Check out the USA Today from Monday with links to two other Mcfeatures on the film alongside this article....
